Power - Conduits
Pathway To Power
Workmen build two conduits to carry water from the Niagara River under the City of Niagara Falls to the New York Power Authority's Niagara Power Project. The four mile pipes are each 46 feet by 66 feet. Photo was taken in 1960, the year before the 2,400,000 - kilowatt project produced its first electricity. The conduits since have been covered and the are landscaped.
