Niagara Falls, NY - Dorthea McDonald and her children D'ziar McDonald 6, and D'myra Lark, 10, check out the books by local author Michelle Kratts at the Niagara Falls Public Library. Parks and gardens along the historic Niagara Portage were the featured destinations on Saturday as four city institutions present a series of outdoor activities for people of all ages. The event, titled Grand Gardens of the Niagara Portage, offered trolley tours along Main Street, Pine Avenue and Portage Road and activities at the Niagara Falls Public Library, Oakwood Cemetery, the NACC and Schoellkopf Parik.
