James Neiss/staff photographerLewiston, NY - Coming to school for the first time, Lewiston-Porter freshman Matthew Minderler gets applause from teachers and faculty after his mother Cathy signed his name on the Regents 100 Club wall of fame. Matthew suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a form of muscular dystrophy and has been unable to attend school for the last two years, except through the use of Skype.
