James Neiss/staff photographerNiagara Falls, NY - Wire-walker Nik Wallenda's 2 inch wire spool is on Goat Island and ready to be hoisted across the Niagara Gorge later this week, as crews set up for his June 15, walk across the gorge from Terrapin Point on Goat Island at Niagara Falls State Park. A helicopter will be flying a rope across the gorge so the cable can be pulled across, said General Foreman Randy Fletcher.
