North Tonawanda, NY - Artist Tim Martin started the wall mural in 1997. It was never completed as there was an electric transformer in the middle space of the wall, but had been removed a few years later, said Executive Director David Fillenwarth. Realizing the fading and neglect of the last 24 years, we decided to give it a fresh look.
The new concept incorporates the original design of Charlie Chaplan and a little girl with a cop on the left side. The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ on the right side. The concert scene in the middle helps bring the whole concept together recognizing our past and the present.
The mural was completed Labor Day weekend and Tim was able to do it in just under 2 months time.
The completed Wall Mural project is a great marketing tool for the resurging Riviera Theatre and is a compliment to the new bustling activity on Webster Street. NCOAP
