Belstadt Cold Case sentence

20220114 - Niagara Falls - Joseph H. Belstadt was sentenced in Niagara County Court Friday to 25 years to life for the 1993 death of Mandy Steingasser. In late 2017, prosecutors said they reopened their investigation and took another look at the evidence. That reopening the 28 year old cold case included a retesting of the DNA evidence using more sophisticated technologies that weren’t available in 1993.
