3rd Annual g(art)en takes shape at Kenan Center
The outdoor arts experience will be held July 9 & 10
LOCKPORT, N.Y.: The Kenan Center is welcoming the public to their campus this weekend for their 3rd Annual g(art)en, an outdoor arts experience in partnership with Lockport in Bloom and the Lockport Public Arts Council. The Kenan Center gardens will be in full bloom with the addition of a temporary arts immersion experience.
“Since the onset of COVID, we have looked at our 25-acre campus as a place to maintain our arts, education and recreation programming,” says Parrish Gibbons, Assistant Director of the Kenan Center. “This year, the Lockport Public Arts Council will transform the Kenan House Gallery gardens into a family friendly arts experience with hundreds of pinwheels, playful butterfly benches, Monet inspired photo opportunities and more.”
The Kenan Center Campus is open to the public from dawn to dusk on July 9 & 10. The public is invited to explore the gardens for free. The Kenan Center campus will also serve as the main Lockport in Bloom map distribution location. Ample free parking is available.
