Description:
Business and residential security cameras have the option under Operation SafeCam to register their cameras with the county district attorney. If a crime is committed, the owner of the registered camera will be contacted and asked to provide video footage. The program is completely voluntary and no video will be used except to provide law enforcement help with solving a crime, said DA Brian Seaman and Sheriff Mike Filicetti.
