N.Y. Power Authority to Celebrate $460 Million Upgrade Project and Turbine Digitization at Niagara Power Project

New York Power Authority senior leadership will join NYPA staff and elected officials to celebrate the completion of a $460 million infrastructure upgrade project at the Lewiston Pump Generating Plant and the digitization of the first turbine unit under Next Generation Niagara. The multiyear plant modernization programs allow NYPA to continue to provide low-cost power and power proceeds to businesses in Western New York and across the state that are tied to commitments to more than 200,000 jobs and nearly $13 million in capital investments that will positively impact the state’s economy.
The event will take place in the Assembly Bay of the Robert Moses Power Plant, an area of the plant that is off-limits to the public.
