Lewiston, NY - Tuscarora Reservation resident Wendy Bissell created this speed limit sign, foreground, on Upper Mountain Road. The Tuscarora Nation is asking that drivers slow down and held a Roadside Sign Challenge contest for residents to come up with the perfect sign. The categories included People's Choice, Funniest Sign and Most Creative. The new limits are 45 mph on main roads like Upper Mountain Road and 35 mph on in-roads.

We would like to send a big thank you out to all of the families that got involved with our Roadside Sign Challenge!!!
The community really came together to get behind this movement and we showed how strong we can be when we’re all working towards the same goal!
The signs came out better than we had ever thought they would! You guys really showed off our community’s artistic side!
Thank you to all of our donors for making the prizes a possibility! Thank you to all who donated supplies that made a lot of these signs a possibility! Thank you to Sherwin Williams for donating the paint and primer for a lot of these signs!
***If we missed any, please send us a direct message and we will add it to the post for voting!
