201229 Kirk Jones Enterprise 1
James Neiss/staff photographer
Niagara Falls - Tim Baxter, director of operations at the Oakwood Cemetery Association, stands next to the gravesite donated to Kirk Jones by Oakwood. "We had heard that Kirk Jones had not been claimed at the morgue, so the Board decided to donate a grave, as we had done in the past," said Baxter. (Annie Edson Taylor and Carlisle Graham's graves were both donated by the cemetery.)
In 2003, Kirk Jones became the first person without protection to survive going over Niagara Falls. In June of 2017, the daredevils body was discovered a couple months after being suspected of going over Niagara Falls in an inflatable ball.
