Youngstown, NY - Town of Porter Deputy Clerk Elaine Porto, left and Confidential Secretary to the Supervisor Mary Siegrist,right, show off some of the food and gift cards collected to help US Coast Guard Station Niagara crew who go without paychecks during the government shutdown. Porto and Siegrist said they were amazed by the generosity of the community. One anonymous donor gave $1000 in gift cards, someone donated 2 hams, the Somewhere Restaurant is offering free pasta dinners to crew and the Lake View Motel donated free pizza to crews of 4 ships, just to mention a few.
