World renowned kinetic sculptors to install commissioned piece at Golisano Center for Health
Some remarkably talented kinetic sculptors from Portland, Oregon will be in Niagara Falls on Wednesday (April 27) to install a commissioned work at the soon-to-be-opened Golisano Center for Community Health on the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center campus.
Matt Richards and Ben Cogdill have provided mobiles for public spaces and art aficionados worldwide. Using a variety of materials and the latest fabrication techniques, they are renowned for developing clever design solutions for challenging site locations.
Their biographies are attached and samples of their work – which ranges up to 200 feet in size and hangs in Europe, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South America and across the Unites States – can be viewed on this video.
On Wednesday, they will be here to install a piece specially designed for the space that enfolds and soars above the first floor lobby of the $7 million Golisano Center. We invite you to view (photograph, video) the installation that afternoon and to interview them about their work. You’ll see some breathtaking art and speak to artists whose work is treasured worldwide.
