Navy veteran Joseph DeMarco, left, and his civilian peer support counselor Brian Blose from Dog Tags New York pose with Brian's dog Rocco. Blose is helping DeMarco adjust from the structured military life to regular civilian life. Rocco is a rescue dog who lived in a small cage where he could barely move. Blose is helping Rocco adjust to a normal dog's life. Dog Tags New York's mission is to match dogs with veterans to aid in the rehabilitation of both.
